Storm Clouds over Crooked Lake August 9, 2007

We had a brief, morning shower
at our campsite near Lower Basswood Falls.

Here’s a video I took during yesterday’s hail storm. Both of our vehicles now have a couple of small dimples in them. Our house roof appears to be intact at least. More storms in the area tonight.

About 5PM CST, a thunderstorm rolled through Rochester. We had heavy hail with it. Here’s what our front lawn looked like during the storm.

More than an hour later, we still had an accumulation of hailstones on our lawn.

The storm brought down a lot of leaves. My car, covered in leaves and hailstones.

Over an hour after the storm, this is one of the largest hailstones.
