On Trail With Nibi Mocs

We had a break in a rainy weather pattern, plus it warmed up a bit for Mother’s Day this year. Mostly sunny skies with temps around 60°F. We decided to visit Whitewater State Park. This was our first time back after the floods of 2007 and, I’m happy to say, the park has recovered well.

Some rapids along the Whitewater River. We could get close to the river here and all 3 dogs plunged in. Sam and Pip wanted to drink. Rosie wanted to play.

There were lots of wildflowers out. I managed to frame the dam and bridge with some of them.

This morning, the boys were outside but Rosie decided it was too cold and opted for sitting on the back of the couch, looking out the window. We had a brief look at the sun this morning and she was back and side lit. I just had to get out the camera. She’s not the most cooperative model but she has her moments.

I still can’t believe she went for 12 weeks at the kennels with no one picking her. How could anyone resist? I sure couldn’t!

Rosie will be 4 months old next week.

My wife says she’s a flirt. What do you think?

Oh, btw… how much is that doggie in the window? You couldn’t possibly pay me enough to part with her!

5 Month old, intact Male, Shih-Poo (Shih-Tsu, Mini Poodle mix) - Pip
Also answers to Pippen and Pippy
Pip disappeared into a cornfield north of the house at 24838 US HWY 71, Sanborn, Mn 56083 (south of Sanborn).
He is Black with white markings including a white tipped tail, and white/gray “goatee”, approximately 9.5lbs. He was wearing a blue collar with a rabies tag.
He is very friendly but a bit timid around strangers.
