Another Great Day in the Neighborhood

Absolutely gorgeous weather today…. but, the weatherman says we have another front bearing down on us, bringing rain and cooler temps. I was definitely glad I could get out and enjoy even it if it was just around our yard. Here are some of my best shots from today…

A large patch of blue/yellow primroses are fully out now…

Here’s another closeup of one of them…

This one has a monocle ;)

More daffodils are coming out. Doesn’t this photo just scream “APRIL!”?

Still don’t know what these are… but they sure are pretty…. Guess I’ll call them UFO’s for now — Unidentified Flowering Objects ;) . If someone can I.D. these for me, I’d sure appreciate it.

An Unidentified Flying Object (in this case, a butterfly) was sure attracted to the Unidentified Flowering Objects.

I did finally find out that these are Scilla’s. And, I finally got a couple of nice shots of them.

This one had a visitor.

Sorry to be posting so many flowers lately. But, they are fun to photograph and, since these were all taken around my yard, I haven’t had to use any gas! Cheap Shots!

If things go according to plan, I should have photos of a completely different nature to share next week. Please stay tuned. Also, please make a comment or two — so I know I’m not just talking to myself.

Larry…those flower shots are delightful, and yes!!! The watery daffodil screams APRIL!! That’s is awesome!! Really like the Scilla’s. The 2nd cropped one is fantastic with that great light on it!! =D

I think that is some type of a moth there on that one flower..at least that’s what someone told me when I caught one on a flower last summer! LOL

I’m really enjoying your spring…while I patiently await the arrival of ours!

  2. Wolfwatcher Says:

Beautiful, Larry. Give us a hint for next week’s adventures!

  3. nibimocs Says:

Cindy, I sure hope you get some April weather and flowers before April ends!

Barb, not sure what kind of a hint I can give without giving everything away… let’s just say that Gordon Dietzman and I are teaming up for another visit to Wisconsin where we’re sure to find some wildlife. :)

Thanks to both of you for your comments. I was really starting to wonder if I was talking to myself (and the spammers :( ) here. ;)

oh yeah… Cindy… I thought moths had feathery antennae…. and, just so you know… the second Scilla shot is a separate photo… not a crop of the one prior to it. Same blossom in both though.

  5. Wolfwatcher Says:

Ahh, that was a good hint! Looking forward to seeing the results of another Nibi & Gordon’s Excellent Adventures. :)

  6. Cindy Says:

Well Larry…I don’t rightly know the answer to that feathery antennae statement…I know that someone told me that I had captured a moth, NOT a butterfly like I had posted. LOL So yeah, I was probably given bad information, imagine that!

And the pics were so close in looks I wondered if they were different or crops….it’s very beautiful!

Can’t wait to see what beauty you and Gordon come back with next week!
    Have a wonderful weekend!! =D
